Are You Barking Up The Wrong Tree?

How do you feel about network marketing? Is it all a scam or just a delusion? Maybe it could be a figment of your imagination since most folks that earnestly give it a try never succeed. Why is that? Could it be that they are barking up the wrong tree? For the seasoned marketer, they have all barked up many wrong trees and suffered the consequences of their barking. They may have barked because someone told them to or ask them to, but they can’t always blame others for their misfortunes, can they?

By barking up the wrong tree means that you have not found the niche that truly suits you and your personality. We all have our strong and weak qualities and in order to be successful in network marketing, you MUST find the niche that suits you best, then give it your all and all. People will be able to tell if you really believe in the product you are selling or the program you are promoting. They want to follow confident leaders, not those who are wishy washy.

What you must learn to do is determine first what it is you want to do, then search the net for that niche. Google makes it very easy to find anything on the world-wide web so you really have no excuse for not trying. Just type in a word or phrase, then watch the internet work its magic right before your very eyes. Expect to be overwhelmed with the responses that will show up, then weed out the ones you know are not for you. If it is a program you are interested in promoting then do your due diligence to find out all you can before you invest your valuable time, energies and possibly your hard earned funds. Remember, you can’t blame anyone but yourself if you bark up the wrong tree! Do the same for any product you wish to promote and sell.

Barking up the wrong trees can produce many heartaches, but if you join a team like TGRP, then you will be able to eliminate the majority of those heartaches because we are hear to help you make the right decision. This is where it all started! A little over a year ago, we started The Grand Retirement Plan to help new marketers get on the right track to earning an income on the internet. We are excited with the success that our teammates are achieving with our mentor-ship and tools! Iremember when I first began my adventure on this expansive world-wideweb. It was truly a scary one to begin with and I was veryintimidated to say the least. Everyone seemed to be so knowledgeableand so sure of themselves. This made me very vulnerable to all theirevil deeds in which I found out later on were very misleading. Yousee, in general, I am a very trusting person until I find out thatyou have deceived me somehow. That is when the trusting factorSTOPS. I can't stand liars, cheaters, thieves, etc. I do notparticipate in such activities, therefore I do not condone them inany fashion, nor do I believe others should be practicing them. Ofcourse I am old enough to know that this world is full of evil peoplejust waiting to take advantage of someone, somehow.

Yes,I have fallen prey to many scams since my beginnings but not anymore. I have learned the hard way but I am now focused and on a mission tohelp others so they will not have the same misfortunes as me. Thiscomes in the way of getting involved with programs like The GrandRetirement Program, also known as TGRP. Here I have met GOOD peoplewho have the same mindset as me and are willing to help, not hinder,those that are looking for ways to earn an honest living from networkmarketing. I could name some of these outstanding folks that havenow become my good friends, but for fear of leaving someone off thelist, I will just tell you that they exist within this group.

Ifyou find yourself falling prey to each and every pre-launch thatrears it's ugly head, then you need to change your way of thinkingRIGT NOW and realize there are NO “get rich” programs out there. You need to discover your niche, then concentrate on finding a legitopportunity that offers what you are interested in pursuing. When this happens you realize days haveflown by and you have not accomplished one thing.

Malok Has an Appology...

Meet Malok Mading Recently, he had an issue with Face Book and he wrote this article over at APSense to warn and apologize for not catching it sooner.

Recently this week,I login in to my Facebook account and the shocking thing was; I saw a message from one of my best friends.She was telling me how much she like a photo which I was tagged in with her.She did not know that I didn't tagged her in any of my photos and that I didn't sent it out to her or any of my friends.The claim was saying this message:
{Friend's name} I really love my new iPad2! playing angry birds on it is so fun haha! I received it today from fedex and I paid nothing which is pretty exciting :) They are only giving a limited supply in each area so I dont think this will last long. There was also a tagged photo of an Ipad 2 in which I have tagged all my friends including the recipient friend telling the named friend of mine to take actions and get it free.
Well,what I worry most is the trust my beloved friends who might think that I did such a thing to them but I am totally speechless over this.
The way it is so complicated that it even got my names, friends' names as well as accessing my Facebook profile left me with more questions than answers.Currently,I have more than 4 hundreds friends who have receive this same "Photo Tagging thing"
To make it short,if you as my friend on Facebook has received this "Photo Tag" saying that Malok has tagged you in his photo,kindly please help me by reporting this to Facebook or delete it completely.
I have my principles and morals which define how I interact,contact and share with people around me including my friends.
Otherwise,I would like to caution others too to be careful lest such things might happen to them.
Facebook in recent years has been trying to fight spam and hacking but still this crook guys are still destroying people's name and image with such things.
So please,to any annoyed friend/contact believe me that I never intended to do you anything as this.

Avoiding the Pitfalls

The challenge of Internet marketing, of choosing the right program to promote, avoiding the scams and the methods of marketing is possibly the biggest downfall of the majority of those seeking to find riches working from home on the computer today.

If you are just starting out, many of these challenges can be avoided by becoming members of different social sites like Apsense and then searching out someone they can trust, someone who has been successful that will take you under their wing and teach you.

If you have been around for any length of time, you know what I am talking about. How many times have you heard "I wish I knew then what I know now". Or how many hours and hundreds or even thousands of dollars I have wasted on programs that did not work.

Knowing and trusting someone while not the only method of avoiding the pitfalls but it is the safest. Now that is not to say that you will get it right every time nor that the person that you choose will always lead you in the right direction but that is something that you will learn very quickly. I have learned that when someone screams "Scam" or what the "scam report sites" have to say, it can be misleading. I have seen programs branded as "scams" on this very site when in fact they turned out to be very good programs and a lot of people made a lot of money with these programs. Trust your gut and do not invest a lot of money until you are satisfied.

Some things work better for one than they will for others. In my case I have chosen to stay away from programs that require monthly autoships or monthly fees simply because these require an active downline and most who begin, drop out shortly there after when they are not making money. They simply cannot or will not duplicate and it becomes more than a job just having to replace those who drop out.

I choose to make my main program one that has a long track record of paying it's members, one that has been paying out for nearly 20 years. F5M-MC is and will remain my main focus and along with it comes TheGrandRetirement as well as ThePowerofOne.

But once in awhile something comes along that really attracts my
attention, something that jumps out at me and pulls me in. But that being said, it still must meet my criteria of a one time payment. And that program came along just a few days ago. I think you will get the same feeling if you take the time to listen to a recorded call from June 20.

Just a story of Choices

Read this LET IT REALLY SINK IN.......THEN CHOOSE .

John is the kind of guy you love to hate. He is always in a good mood and always has something positive to say. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would reply, 'If I were any better, I would be twins!'

He was a natural motivator.

If an employee was having a bad day, John was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation.

Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up and asked him, 'I don't get it!'

'You can't be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?'

He replied, 'Each morning I wake up and say to myself, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or...you can choose to be in a bad mood I choose to be in a good mood.'

Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or...I can choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it.

Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or...I can point out the positive side of life. I choose the positive side of life.

'Yeah, right, it's not that easy,' I protested.

'Yes, it is,' he said. 'Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people affect your mood.

You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: It's your choice how you live your life.'

I reflected on what he said. Soon hereafter, I left the Tower Industry to start my own business. We lost touch, but I often thought about him when I made a choice about life instead of reacting to it.

Several years later, I heard that he was involved in a serious accident, falling some 60 feet from a communications tower.

After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, he was released from the hospital with rods placed in his back.

I saw him about six months after the accident.

When I asked him how he was, he replied, 'If I were any better, I'd be twins...Wanna see my scars?' I declined to see his wounds, but I did ask him what had gone through his mind as the accident took place.

'The first thing that went through my mind was the well-being of my soon-to-be born daughter,' he replied. 'Then, as I lay on the ground, I remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live or...I could choose to die. I chose to live.'

'Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness?' I asked.

He continued, '...the paramedics were great.

They kept telling me I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the ER and I saw the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, I read 'he's a dead man'. I knew I needed to take action.'

'What did you do?' I asked.

'Well, there was a big burly nurse shouting questions at me,' said John. 'She asked if I was allergic to anything 'Yes, I replied.' The doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply. I took a deep breath and yelled, 'Dying'

Over their laughter, I told them, 'I am choosing to live. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead.'

He lived, thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude....I learned from him that every day we have the choice to live fully.

Attitude, after all, is everything.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.'

After all today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

You now have two choices!

There’s NO Such Thing as Residual Income

Did the heading get your attention?

Good, because this is what people tell us as children and we pass it on to our children (except for me NOW). It’s a never ending cycle that only a few have learned to break. It bugs the hell out of me that all of us have been taught this ridiculous propaganda.

My mom came to Michigan to visit. It is nice to see her again but even at 42 years old she is still pushing on me that “There is no such thing as residual income”. She came over last night to take us out for ice cream. When we return to my house to visit some more we got on the subject of making money. The conversation started out talking about my eldest son wanting to move out of the house but I don’t think he is ready. I want to teach him how to create residual income for himself at a young age but he doesn’t want to listen. Typical teen!

Mom makes a comment that there is no such thing as residual income. My son is best just to be educated and get a good job. My son is going to school to be a male nurse and that I am proud of him for. He wants to do something he loves and I don’t want to discourage him from that. But I also believe he should learn how to control the money he does make.

Dave Ramsey is right, our education system is all messed up. they teach our children everything except how to control money. I told my mom I was going to make residual income for my family. I looked over to my wife and she supported me by saying, “you do it baby”. We are fed that education is the best and that is the only way to success. I want to vomit every time I hear of this or think of it.

We live in a world where the rich get richer because the poor work for the rich. We have to get control of our lives, our finances and start thinking for ourselves. Learn how to invest in residual income systems. Make money work for us instead of us working to make money.

A Good Explanation of the One Percenters

Explanation of how the U.S. economy is self destructing....all the way down the food chain. The fat get fatter, and the poor get desperate!

"The upper 1 percent of Americans are now taking in nearly a quarter of the nation's income every year. In terms of wealth rather than income, the top 1 percent control 40 percent.
"Their lot in life has improved considerably. Twenty-five years ago, the corresponding figures were 12 percent and 33 percent."

So I discover in a piece by Joseph E. Stiglitz in the new issue of Vanity Fair. These facts confirm my impression that greed is now seen as a virtue in America. I'm not surprised by the greed of the One-Percenters. I'm mystified by the lack of indignation from so many of the rest of us.
Day after day I read stories that make me angry. Wanton consumption is glorified. Corruption is rewarded. Ordinary people see their real income dropping, their houses sold out from under them, their pensions plundered, their unions legislated against, their health care still under attack. Yes, people in Wisconsin and Ohio have risen up to protest these realities, but why has there not been more outrage?
The most visible centers of these crimes against the population are Wall Street and the financial industry in general. Although there are still many honest bankers, some seem to regard banking and trading as a license to steal. Outrageous acts are committed and go unpunished. Consider this case of money laundering by Wachovia Bank, now part of Wells Fargo. This Guardian article reports: "The authorities uncovered billions of dollars in wire transfers, traveler's checks and cash shipments through Mexican exchanges into Wachovia accounts."
The bank paid fines of less than 2% of its $12.2 billion profit in 2009. No individual was ever charged with a crime. We need not doubt that Wachovia executives received bonuses over the period of time when they were overseeing these illegal activities. Permit me to quote one more paragraph:
"More shocking, and more important, the bank was sanctioned for failing to apply the proper anti-laundering strictures to the transfer of $378.4 billion -- a sum equivalent to one-third of Mexico's gross national product -- into dollar accounts from so-called casas de cambio (CDCs) in Mexico, currency exchange houses with which the bank did business."
If a third of the Mexican GNP passes through your bank and you don't ask the questions required by law, you are either (1) a criminal, or (2) incompetent. I can't think of another possibility.
Stories like this have become commonplace. Two of the most common types of news stories about banks recently have involved their losses, and the size of their executive bonuses. Bloomberg News reports: "JPMorgan Chase & Co. gave Chief Executive Officer Jamie Dimon a 51 percent raise in 2010 as the bank resumed paying cash bonuses following two years of pressure from regulators and lawmakers to curb compensation."
And here's more, from the Wall Street journal: "$57,031. That's about what the average U.S. archaeologist made last year. It's also what J.P. Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon made every day of last year -- $20.8 million total, according to the firm's proxy filing this week. Anyone who has doubts about the resiliency of Wall Street banks and brokerages should ponder that figure for awhile. The J.P. Morgan board also spent about $421,500 to sell Dimon's Chicago home. And they brought back the big cash bonus, doling out $30.2 million in greenbacks to Dimon and his top six lieutenants."
The CEOs of the venerable trading firms that were forced into bankruptcy were all paid bonuses. In a small recent case, executives of Borders intended to pay themselves $8 million in bonuses until a U. S. Trustee objected. A company spokesperson said, "The proposed programs were designed to retain key executives at Borders as we proceed through the Chapter 11 reorganization process." In short, retain those whose management bankrupted the corporation.

It is very easy to lose focus of the things you have to do to move forward with your Internet Marketing business.

So many things try to get our attention :

Emails
Private Messages
Surfing on TEs
Buying that new hot product
Posting on a blog
Reading an article
Seeing a video
etc…

No wonder we get confused. Especially when that first dollar hasn’t been made. We go from one opportunity to another, from one article’s advice to another free eBook given if we sign up, to that awesome special offer to buy credits for a low price.

Where are your priorities ?

Define them. Take the time to list the actions that will get you closer to your goals,

When the to-do list is complete, choose an action and accomplish it. At once.

You’re not sure ? You don’t feel like ? Maybe in 30 minutes ? Right after you respond to that email from your associate ?

I’m telling you straight : what you need is self-discipline.

How does one acquire it ?

Brian Tracy wrote a book about a method that works when applied, according to him.

It is simple. Not easy. You will meet internal resistance.

The book is called “Eat That Frog”

In simple terms, the method described in the book is :

Define the actions to take today
Choose the one action you don’t want to do, i.e. the ugliest one, the frog
Accomplish that task before anything else

The rest of your day will be so much easier. After all, the other actions will be more pleasant, you just finished the worst one.

Try it. You’ll see for yourself.

The next day won’t be any easier. You’ll have a frog for that day too.

RInse and repeat. Apply the “Eat that frog” method.

They say a new habit is acquired after 21 days.

I believe doing the frog method will become second nature, after a while.

I’ll give you some feedback in future posts. I apply the method starting NOW.

How to Build a List of Prospects to Market to

A couple of months ago after promoting my websites with mixed results
using safelists and traffic exchanges I decided to concentrate on
building traffic first. After all, it's no secret that traffic equals
prospects which equals sales.

I joined Traffic Hoopla, which is a free traffic builder, not a traffic
exchange. There is an upgrade which I do suggest but it's not neccesary
to reap the benefits of this program.

Traffic Hoopla exists to build traffic. Traffic building is important,
no essential, to a successful online business. The goalis to build
ongoing daily traffic and I strongly reccomend building traffic first,
then your business.

There's no such thing as overnight success, but after 2 months of daily
promoting my Traffic Hoopla site I'm getting 6-8 signups per week.
I'm also getting signups with the safelists and traffic exchanges I've
joined that generate more hits to my Traffic Hoopla site. This now
gives me a list of prospects that I can market my primary business to.

Each week Traffic Hoopla independently tests and lists the current
best advertising resources and ranks them based on stats.

You can also earn referral awards. Although it's not required, you
are rewarded for referring others mostly by a percentage of traffic
they earn, and often, commissions,and if they refer others you get
more traffic.

Although all the TE's and Safelists are free to join I did upgrade at
EuropeanSafelist. It's only $7 a month and rewards you with credits,
500 opt-in leads a month and an autoresponder. I felt it was a real
good investment for the cost.

Continuing to Grow!

Well it has been a couple weeks since we did an update on what's happening here at The Grand Retirement Plan!

We launched on August 3, 2010. Since then, we have a team of over 200!

It is wonderful to have so many join us!

We have been granted use of the F5M-MC training room for some really intense marketing training . Currently, we are reviewing some of the social and business networking web sites that GRP endorses on our membership site.

Don't worry if you know nothing about these sites, they will all be reviewed in our Monday Trainings.

We began with AdlandPro and will end when we have gone through every program. We want our members to be able to participate in the best programs available today!(don't worry, our training won't stop there. This is just the beginning!)

Our training for next week will be some in depth classified ad posting! Brenda will be hosting this and we will all have ads to post!

In our experience, classified ads, social networking and forum posting are the best marketing techniques for targeted, interested traffic to your opportunity. We have chosen the best places that we have found, but don't be afraid to look for others. There are many good forums and classified posting sites. If you have a question about a site you are thinking of joining and posting to, please ask.

Here is a tip, most opportunities and tools you sign up for, have a forum. Check them out! Read the rules for posting to see if you are able to use links in your signature. If you can, by all means, sign up and learn about the opportunity or tools and participate in some conversations!

Building and joining a team

When some marketers have learned and earned a lot, they often like to share the wealth and get a group together and show them just how they achieved success.

An option for getting the word out and showing others how you became successful is to start a team of internet marketers that would like to achieve the same success.

Building a team takes dedication, determination, and a plan of action. There are many ways a team can be built. A membership site is a common tool that many online team builders use. The site will need a good script, training material, planning, and members who know how to set everything up.

Some teams start as small groups getting together to discuss advertising strategies and business goals. This can often blossom into a full blown project. Members are added as successes and milestones are crossed. If a new team needs to know how to work with membership site scripts and set up, the team will seek out and invite members with those skills.

As the team grows, so will membership. As more members join and begin working toward the same goal, the team will see more success. Each member of a team has a responsibility to do whatever you can to promote, support and help your team reach specific goals. Attend meetings, and trainings. Participate in groups and forums. Show team loyalty whenever possible. The more visible the team is as a unit, the better results for everyone on the team.

It takes a lot of hard work and determination to create a successful internet business. It can be easier to work as a team. Goals can be met faster with several members working together. There are so many opportunities available online to earn an income. Once you find that opportunity, are successful, share your experience, and grow your business even bigger by creating and nurturing a team to success.

As a team grows and develops, they begin to work as a single unit. Each supporting the other and linking together to complete a puzzle. Once all the pieces are linked, the puzzle is complete. Complete Success is what a team strives for. It can take some time to locate the right pieces to complete the puzzle.

If the team's main focus is internet based, the entire team needs to be visible. An internet team will most likely have programs and opportunities that they participate in and use. When new members join, they need to become familiar with and active in those programs and opportunities.

As new members join, the team presence will grow. Unified activity will produce good results as a team grows and becomes organized. To be successful and grow, a team should work together in a few carefully chosen social networks and forums.

Once the team organizes and begins to show a more unified presence, they will become more visible to others looking to join a successful team. In a social setting, all members of a team will have different connections.

Blogging is an important part of earning an online income. Google Blogger, and WordPress are the most popular blogging platforms. Both are excellent for blogging, if you set it up for success. New blogs or existing blogs, there are some things that you shouldn't forget to include!

Don't rely on another marketers blog! While it is a good thing to comment and participate on other blogs, that should not be the only way you blog. Set up your own blog, with your own ideas and topic. If you only participate, you will make others money, but not yourself.

Don't be all over the place. Focus, focus, focus! Focus on one topic. Find your niche and stick to it. If you happen to find another interesting topic, simply start another blog. What will bring you income and traffic is focus.

Know the Stages of Team Development

Team building involves several stages and processes. A new team will encounter several developmental stages. Every stage has its challenges. Understanding these processes before starting a team, is helpful for leaders to guide the team to their goal.

The first stage of team building is development. As the team is chosen and gathered for the first time, the members are getting to know each other. During the first stage the leaders will discover individual talents the members bring to the team and how best to use them. The leaders will coach members to utilize individual skills. The team will be learning about each other and how to work together. The team leadership should guide the team to unite.

With good leadership, in the next stage of team development, the team discover what their duties will be. The team commences to work together. Each member has his specific job to perform. Members may change roles as skills are better assessed. Team meetings will result in achieving specific goals. This is the time when teams can break apart and accomplish nothing, or go gang busters and get every project finished to perfection. Experienced team leaders will lead the team past this and into successful completion. This stage is also the "make or break" stage. Many teams fail during stage 2. Communication and dedication often fall apart and nothing is accomplished. Without strong leadership, a team will get passed the learning phase.

When a team passes into the next stage the team members have made a commitment to make the team a success. Assignments are carried out. Once stage 3 is obtained, the team will work well together and the project run like clock work. The members embrace the diversity of each other and work together as one. Once the team is up and running smoothly, new members may be shunned by the existing team.

The team may take quite some time to get to the final stage. By this stage the team is working like a well oiled machine. The entire team is witnessing the fruits of the effort that all are putting into the project or process. The individual members have learned how to work together and use the talents of the entire group to work as one. During this stage, the leaders can step back and need only offer advise when asked.

New members entering can tend to slow the team down. They may even revert back to the first stage for a time. But, typically the group gets back on track quickly.

Our team is going gang busters. We have gotten our blogs set up. We have learned how to add banners and post our information. Some did not get articles to post written as yet, but next weeks training is covering time management skills. I for one can't wait.

Some members are using different forms of advertising their F5MC business, with varying results. In time we will all have effective advertising in place for building a great team.

Article marketing is highly effective advertising. But this type of advertising takes time and patience. It takes time to get people to read an article. Once they are reading, something needs to make them click on your links to find out more information about your opportunity.

Team building is a fast way to build an F5MC business. F5MC is about team work and helping each other learn to market their business. So many pay their 5 bucks and never do a thing. Maybe they just expect money to fall from the sky without any effort. Nothing worth while is that easy. F5MC is like any other business, you must work to get the rewards.

First Meeting of the Grand Retirement Team!

First team meeting

The first meeting of the Grand Retirement Plan was a success. We introduced some new members, touched on some advertising techniques. Some of us have our own blogs, some have web-sites.

There were a total of 13 signed up for our team, we had 9 members present. There was a lot of chatting about advertising. Everyone was added to the team capture page rotator. We are already getting prospects from it!

Some members were prepared with suggestions for advertising and places they are having success at. Got some really great information.

Maurice stopped by and gave some great suggestions, and shared a very nice, new capture page that he created. Looking forward to seeing what team ideas come out of it.

Key points to effective TEAM building.
A TEAM needs effective leadership and communication. Prioritize goals, support members, and share resources to take the entire group to the top.
Know what each member has to offer and assist them in using their ability to the betterment of the entire TEAM.
The members of the TEAM should be committed to the same goals. Participation is vital to any TEAM online or offline. Each member adds something unique to the makeup of the TEAM.
The leaders support and encourage the group to develop individual skills for the benefit of everyone.
A group generated mission and vision statement defines the goals of the TEAM. Communicate the goals to the entire TEAM. Insure that all members are in for the same reasons. To succeed.
Give the members freedom to express and implement ideas and solutions. Be clear with expected results. Have leadership in place to foster the ideas and solutions of all members.
A TEAM is a group effort. All members should participate and contribute.
Hold members accountable for their own efforts. Establish duties to be performed by each member.
